Protecting children in the digital age

As part of the work of the Special Commission on the Impact of Screens and Social Networks on the Health and Development of Young People, Option consommateurs presents five recommendations to ensure a digital environment that better protects the privacy and well-being of Quebec children. In particular, we propose integrating the principle of the best interests of the child into the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, and introducing obligations to disclose the advertising nature of online content.
