Option consommateurs confidence barometer - 2024 edition

Option consommateurs commissioned Léger to conduct a study on the concerns of Canadian consumers. The objective of this study is to learn more about Canadians' perception of themselves as consumers, and their level of financial concern. On the other hand, the study compares different industries using a composite index, which serves as a barometer of industry confidence.

In addition, the study provides updated data on various consumer trends in Canada, including online purchases and subscriptions to various services.

New questions, added in 2024, also assess consumers' management of their credit files and response to bank fraud, as well as their engagement with companies after posting online reviews.
