Option consommateurs charges that Home Depot breached its legal obligations by sharing personal information with Facebook without the consent of the members of the proposed group, and infringed their fundamental right to privacy.

You may be affected by this class action if you have purchased a good or service at a Home Depot store in Quebec and have provided your e-mail address for the purpose of receiving a transaction receipt by e-mail.

On January 27, 2023, an application for authorization to practice class action was filed with the Quebec Superior Court.
