Option consommateurs v. Google (Internet data collection)
Option consommateurs criticizes Google for breaching its legal obligations by collecting personal information from Internet users who use its services or visit websites that integrate tools developed by Google.
In particular, we criticize Google for:
Failing to obtain sufficient consent to collect personal information;
Disregarding the choices of Internet users who refuse the collection of their personal information, by ignoring their browser's "Do Not Track" signal;
Misleading users by claiming that the browser's private browsing mode allows them to browse the web confidentially.
