Maple Leaf

On August 27, 2008, we filed a motion for authorization to institute a class action in Quebec against Maple Leaf concerning meat products manufactured between January 1 and August 31, 2008 and recalled for risk of Listeria contamination.

Generally speaking, these are factory-made products 97 B plant in Toronto under the Artisan Collection, Best Value, Bittners, Bittners/Schneiders, Best Value, Boston Pizza, Burns, Campfire, Compliments, Coorsh, Country Morning, Equality, Harmonie, Hickory Farms, Higrade, Kirkland Signature, Maple Leaf, Mayfair, McDonalds, Mitchell's, NoName, Olymopic Fine Meats, Overlander, Parma, Pizza Nova, Safeway, Schneiders, Shopsys, Swift, The Butcher's Cut, Tim Horton's (MLF produced for), Western Family and Westfair.

 

Our members

People (and their families) who have consumed the recalled recalled food products if they have suffered physical or psychological damage as a result.

Where we are

On April 2, 2009, the Quebec Superior Court approved the settlement reached on December 17, 2008.

Class members had until November 2, 2009 to file their claims with Groupe Bruneau Inc., the claims manager.

On February 3, 2012, all compensation cheques were mailed. The deadline for cashing is July 29, 2012.
