Montreal, January 16, 2020 - The Chambre des notaires and Option consommateurs are proud to announce an enhanced partnership between the two organizations. This collaboration strengthens the ties between the two organizations, whose common mission is to better protect the public and ensure better access to justice.
This contribution from the Fonds d'études notariales of the Chambre des notaires du Québec will supportOption consommateurs 's Legal Information Service, which has been helping consumers learn more about their rights and assert them for over 20 years.
Every year, some 2,000 consumers call on this service for questions relating to legal guarantees, business practices and credit agreements.
"We are very pleased with this agreement, which will enable us to continue equipping consumers to better defend their rights, in addition to providing them with clear legal information on consumer law," says Christian Corbeil, General Manager ofOption consommateurs.
